I guess I should have said, "not an issue for me". Trying to get enough illumination to light the scene through a 20 mm lens is certainly an issue. (Heck, even without flash, you've got the issue of light fall-off in the corners to deal with.) "Luckily" (??), my budget limits my shortest focal length to 28mm for the time being. I can still cover that without a diffuser. Gee, now you've got me thinking.... Would you be able to do better with that 20mm if you had a pair of flashes, with one slaved to the other? You could illuminate one portion of the scene with one flash, and the other portion with the other. Might not be too terribly cumbersome in a large room, assuming this was all mounted on a tripod.
