I've got the Tokina version of this lens (I think), or at least I have a Tokina
100/3.5 macro so I imagine it is a rebadge of the Cosina/Vivitar lens. It is a pretty
decent lens, manual focusing is ok, but not the greatest. Build quality is about what
you;d expect for the price. I found this one on KEH, as someone else had recommended,
for $65 I believe.

You're right about Chicago but if you look, you can sometimes find good bargains in
Pentax. I got a mint MX at PJ's Photo in Glen Ellyn a couple of years ago for just
under $100 and also found a EX FA28-105/4-5.6 at Helix Camera in Lombard. So it is
out there but there is just not too much. Your best bet for used Pentax gear will
most likely be Central Camera downtown on S. Wabash, or Helix's main store downtown at
Jackson and Racine. PJ's in Glen Ellyn (on Roosevelt Rd) rarely has any used Pentax,
Helix in Lombard (Yorktown Mall) does have some, but their pricing strikes me as
being quite expensive for used equipment. Outside of those stores, it is hard to find
used Pentax gear around here. But if you just keep looking, sometimes you find a nice
buy!
