Yes, I liked Raw Shooter too. Pity they sold the technology to Adobe. 
And I agree that the latest incarnation of the Pentax Digital Camera
Utility is a vast improvement.  The interface is now even usable!

I haven't used Raw Therapee seriously for a while (I now use ACR) but I
just tried the latest stable version (2.4.1) in a Windows 2000
installation running in Virtual Box.  Seemed to run OK and quite quickly
too. One thing I have found with Raw Therapee is that it can be slow in
operation if the image preview is set to full size (1:1).  I've found
that editing is best done with the preview set at about 1:2 or less.
