Hi folks,

I just purchased a Tiffen 812 color enhancing filter from an eBay auction
this weekend. These seem to be pretty common on eBay, and the prices are
pretty low. (Thus, I won't feel too bad if I end up selling it later at a
loss.) These Tiffen 812 filters are supposed to enhance reds and oranges,
giving a bit more vivid fleshtones for example. Of course, they should also
absorb in the blue part of the spectrum and give a little warmth to the
ambient light. I'm wondering how the filtration compares to a standard
warming filter. Has anyone used one of these before, and can you comment on
the comparison between these filters and warming filters? Does anyone have
any sample scans to illustrate such a comparison?

Thanks in advance,
