Ultraman used to run on our local UHF channel (back when you typically only had ~one~ UHF channel) on weekday afternoons, right after Speed Racer. Could never decide whether this was the ultimate in kitsch or the ultimate in camp, but it was cool programming. OK, maybe it wasn't quite on the same level as Clutch Cargo and his pals Spinner and Paddlefoot (remember how they did the moving lips on those cartoons?), but it was always good fun. Always wanted to get me one of those beta capsules, and to this day I'm still looking for a job as fun as the Science Patrol. Getting back to reality now, wherever that is......
