I bought mine less than three weeks ago. So far I'm a very happy
camper. My experience very much match the description in this test:
http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/hp_lp2475w.htm
I recently compared it to a friend's Eizo ColorEdge monitor, and there
_was_ a difference in separation of black levels. The Eizo does have
an edge, but it wasn't worth the tripled price. In this test:
http://lcdresource.com/mambo/tools/blacktest.htm
my monitor gives me visual separation of black levels down to (5,5,5)
in a normally lit room, and down to (3,3,3) in a dark room, using
Internet Explorer 7. My friend's ColorEdge separated down to (2,2,2).
I have set up my monitor with reduced brigtness, however, so that may
well be the reason why the deepest shadows grow together. The screen
has 4 CCFL tubes and is very, very bright at full setting.

In this test:
http://www.stoletje.com/monitor/siva.html
I could easily see all the details, both in Internet Explorer and in
Photoshop after download.
