If you are working on RAW images, it's still difficult  to bring  
highlights down, much easier to bring shadows up. Over  exposed  
highlights can only be brought down to a level of grey -  little detail  
shows up.

I think you've done as well as you  could on these.

What he said. Shoot for the highlights,  using RAW an amazing amount of 
detail can be brought up from shadows. I've shown  a lot of photos on list, 
that 
some have really liked, even really, really liked,  that initially were way too 
dark. (In other words, no one needs to know how much  shadow detail I bring up 
on a regular basis, heh.) 

I still like the lady  on the wheel barrow thingie, and I can see a 
significant difference in about  three where their faces were too deeply 
shadowed. And 
I think, as he said,  you've done as well with these as you could.
