I think this will sell very well for Pentax.
I think so too. Based on the reactions from the PDML.
One of the gifts I received this Christmas was a book by Scott Adams
(the guy who draws the Dilbert comic strip). There's lots of really
funny stuff in it, but some really thought-provoking, insightful things
as well; he's obviously a very bright guy. One of the stories he relates
is that of the short-lived Dilbert animated TV series. He tells how the
pre-airing test groups that saw it all liked it, at which point someone
in the television business told him that meant the series would flop.
The reason? If everyone likes it, that means no one loves it. Adams
writes that, on reflection, not only was this true, but it was exactly
how the Dilbert comic strip started off: The few papers that ran it at
first got mail comments from their readers that were about 90% negative.
But the 10% who liked it *loved* it. They told their friends about it,
made copies to sent to people, put it up on their cubicle walls, etc.
If a few people love it, that is enough to offset all the ones who hate it.
