You don;t need the CR2 batteries with the BG10.

One word of advice - when you put the BG 10 on your MZ-S, you will remove a 
rectangular rubber cover from the bottom of the Mz-S to make room for the 
contacts on the BG-10.  Put this in a safe place - NOT on the BG-10 (which 
has a slot to hold this cover.)  I put mine there and a few weeks ago 
realized it was missing - not surprising since nothing really holds it in 
place.  Of course - it is back ordered and unavailable.  For now, I have no 
choice but to use the battery grip.
