You are correct, the CR2 batteries are removed and AAs are placed in the BG-10. Also, be aware that the BG-10 has a switch for either alkaline or lithium batteries. Having access to discarded batteries from one time use cameras, I always use alkalines. > Also would like to mention that the retailer told me that Pentax has a > promotion on now. The remote control is a small infrared transmitter that does trip the shutter, but only with the BG-10 grip attached. I've found it very useful except that it's almost too small for my fat fingers.
