I remember sending out a resume printed with a Xerox daisywheel printer. I got a 35% written response from it. That was shortly after lasers had taken over the market. I think the recipients thought they were hand typed. Other than with the daisywheel printer I never have gotten much more than a 3% response from a resume. I do have to admit that the actual percentage of interviews were about the same.
