I'm not narrow minded, I don't care if you're an equipment collector and you enjoy it. I celebrate your joy in owning lots and lots of equipment. Just like I celebrate the joy others take in collecting stamps and classic cars, or other what not. I'm a photographer, however, and I see camera equipment as a means to an end ... nothing more and nothing less. Even with that, IMO a "lens buying addiction" is stupid and bespeaks a lack of consciousness, deliberate intent: it says the activity is a compulsion. Collecting lenses to service a joy in equipment collecting is not stupid, nor is it an addiction.
