It's basically a good idea with a reference image library. However, the PDML member base changes constantly so if the members today buy the book tomorrows members won't have a clue. Why not try to use the web instead? We have the PUG as a common library, there are also lots of other sites with famous photographers works. Anytime someone wants to make a point related to a certain reference, just submit the url. Check for example:
http://www.royaltyfreeart.com/ansel/index.html (not Ansel Adams most famous pictures, but still). http://www.magnumphotos.com/index.html http://masters-of-photography.com/ For myself, I will also check the proposed titles.
