It is kind of hard to backup these days when hard drives are so big and 
affordable back up media so small. Redundant copies on off line drives seems to 
be the only workable solution, but it is still on hard drives which are not 
what I would call archival media.

I feel for you, Dave. But then years ago I had my negatives and photos stored 
at my parents house when it burned down. Sometimes nothing you do works.
