I don't want to be a pro. I don't want to look like a pro.
Professionals have to make money with their photography, they are
bound to have to let go of whatever (if any) their creative needs are
in order to satisfy a client.

I'm a pro in another industry, and although I do get a degree of
creative freedom, there's always an art director or director whose
vision I'm supposed to help achieve.

The only camera I own that is a "pro" for sure is a Leica M6, but I
keep its pretension at bay by putting Russian lenses on it :-) The
other is the MX, but obviously I didn't pick it because it makes me
look like a pro. Actually, the one comment I got from a guy with an
F100 was "It looks like an old K1000 I used to have." I said "thanks.
The K1000 is a great camera".
