For all those in need of a daily laugh, I offer the following....
There was a brief thread for a couple of days last month on an item
appearing on eBay with the title "PENTAX WRIGHT ANGLE VIEWER I THINK
(LOOK)". You may recall the rather terse description: "NOT SHURE WHAT THIS
IS YOU TELL ME ITS LIKE NEW COMES WITH CASE". Against my better judgement,
I bid on this one, and ended up at the close of the auction with the high
bid of USD $34.65. An excellent price for eBay, I thought -- assuming the
item is actually in working order. The seller took a bit over three days
just to send an address to which I could submit payment, claimed that my
payment (postal money order) did not arrive by US Mail until 10 days after I
sent it from my location, then took four days after receiving payment to
send out the item. Nonetheless, it arrived safe and sound yesterday
afternoon, a mere 23 days after auction closing, and it actually appears to
be in excellent optical and cosmetic shape. It fits my K1000 and KM
viewfinders perfectly. (Not "shure" if it will fit "wright" on the MZ-50 --
haven't tried it yet.)
Can't wait to try this out on some low-to-the-ground macro shots and some
high-altitude-angle astro shots.
