I too have recently acquired a Lowepro Omni Traveler. My wife and I are off for a tour to Egypt in two weeks time and all my other bags seemed either too big, or too small.... echoes of the Goldilock story <G>
In the Omni Traveler I'm taking: *istDS F 70-2010mm DA 18-55mm M 50m F1.7 Optio 33L (for my wife's use) PD7X (with 40Gb) Power supply for PD7X & plug adapter Pentax 8x20 binoculars 3 sets of rechargeable NIMHs 1 set of CR-3Vs (emergency use) Various odds & ends (filters, etc) The whole kit weighs in at 10lbs, fits comfortably on my shoulder, and will also be my carry-on luggage. Seems like a reasonable compromise with regard to weight, size and equipment needs.
