Rename the *.chk files to *.pef They should then open as normal raw
files. I don't know why explorer can't
find the "Found.000" folder, except that the recovery program violated a
filesystem "rule" when creating it, or
more obviously the folder attribute is set to hidden. If you can use
ACDC to copy the *.chk files to a hard
drive you should be golden. Just rename them there and use your normal
software to open them.

And I managed to run a "Windows fault finder" facility, so I now have af
folder called FOUND.000 containing my 20 "images" .
The FOUND.000 can only be seen in ACDC, not in the Windows path finder. The
image files are alledgedly .CHK files which are re-made file fragmnents.
They are each 13-14 MB files and supposedly PEF files, made in Norway.
Can I doo anything the retrieve these images??? Aren't there some computer
experts on the list that could help, please?

Dear photographers and computer guys, please help!!!
I have a 256MB CF card that I can't read:
My computer first said it was empty. No files showed up in the path finder.
Then I put it back in the camera. It said No Imgage.
After that I put it back in the card reader in my computer, there's suddenly
a DCIM folder. But still no images.
"Properties" says there's 230 MB on it. Not in the DCIM folder but at the
"root".
A virus scan (Norton) says there are 20 files on the card.
These are of course great shots from Oslo!
What can I do??
