I'd love to se it compared to the F 70-210mm. Can anyone do that? :-) I have only had problems with my 70-210 when using (too slow) film for sports events and similar. On the *ist D I can always increase the ISO-setting. Regards

I see constant F > stop envy at work here. I owned and used a Canon 70-200/4L with my 10D. It is a superb lens, one of the sweetest zooms of this focal length I've ever had a chance to work with ... As good as the best primes I've ever had in the 135-200mm focal length range. It is a visibly better performer than any other 70-200mm lens I've used, even on the 10D, and its performance is untouched when used with the Canon 1.4x Extender II as well. The facts that I don't used this kind of zoom much and that I'm divesting myself of my Canon DSLR kit are the *only* reasons I sold it. Godfrey
