Had a little talk about the 1,7 AF-converter with Fovi. They did not know whether it works at the Series 1 zoom, as I assumed, but they did tell me that it didn't perform well with the FA 80-320/4,5-5,6. (To who ever that might be interested in this piece of info).
They also confirmed that they do have it in stock :-) Tim Another Norwegian. Never underestimate the power of stupidity in large crowds (Very freely after Arthur C. I've bought myself a Vivitar S1 70-200 ver. 3. Most likely I will go to Norway Cup (a huge international soccer tournament for kids) and want to do some shots. My Vivitar is a bit to short, and the AF is a bit to manual ;-) for this purpose. Now I wonder, could it be an idea to get a Pentax 1,7 TC/AF-converter and use it with this lens? (I think Fovi has one in stock). I believe you have both (the Vivitar and the TC) Mark, have you ever tested this combo? Will it focus fast enough (at a Ds), and does it perform well? For teleconverters the results depend mainly on the lens you're using it with. I've been very impressed with the Pentax 1.7x AF teleconverter.
