Daniel, I've been able to use an M28/3.5 (the only wide prime I own) for indoor shooting without a flash. Since I've been down rating Tri-X to 320 or 200, this often means maximum aperture at 1/15. If you plan on setting your light sensitivity to between 400 and 1600, just use a lens you like and don't worry about large apertures. Of course, YMMV.
