Jack,
If the CDs are fine when you try to verify the data, it's a good sign.
To be on the safe side, I'd take the CD to another computer and see if
it reads well there too. It has happened to me that CDs burned on my
computer are not readable on other PCs. Using NERO software instead of
winXP native helps for my situation, but I don't know if it qualifies
as a general advice... :)
