I've used it with the 2X-S and found it to be surprisingly good. The lens is pretty sharp and has good contrast, and seems free of chromatic abberation. I haven't used it with a converter on the digital, so I can't say how it will stand up, but by itself on the istD it is quite nice.
OK, are you guys talking about the manual focus version or the autofocus version? (Or one about one and one about the other?)
I presumed the manual focus one, based on the subject line.
