And they also have VERY different density curves when developed in the
same developer (my preferred soup is D-76 1:1, just to keep things on
topic).
In my experience at least, I tend to prefer the curve and texture that
PlusX gives for people pictures, while TMax works better for "place"
or "thing" shots.

TMax 400 is also a lot fussier about dev times, and if I remember the
curves correctly, the reciprocity failure kicks in sooner and harder
than PlusX.

I really need to shoot some more B&W. Got some Ilford HP5 plus that
needs souping, but other than that, I've been lax recently.
