Hmm, when will it ship? Seems nice. Couple of things though - it seems
to me it doesn't have solid construction - the barrel extends during
zooming - my common pet peeve with most cheaper zoom lenses (like the
DA 16-40 and Nikkor 18-55, otherwise optically excellent lenses). This
is not the most durable design. Especially with lenshood attached, any
bump on the hood creates too much leverage in the sleeves that the
elements slide in. For the money, I know... But they could have done
it with outwardly solid construction, like even the cheaper lenses
from Tokina (where the inner barrel does extend, but the outer barrel
is solid, you can attach a filter and all the moving action is hidden
behind the filter).
