Not arguing, but as a data point I got a catalogue through the post
before last Christmas, one of those that is full of 'gift ideas' (ahem).
One of them was a portable turntable, just like the old Dansettes of the
50's and 60's. Capable of playing 33/45/78rpm records. Cost was about
�100 if I recall rightly. I doubt the sound was 'high quality' tho :-)
