Hi, David, I have two long zooms: a Sigma APO f3.5-4.5 50-200mm, and a Vivitar S1 f3.5 constant aperture 70-210mm. They're both very capable performers. I find that for the type of photography I do right now, 200 is about as long as I need to go. I rarely shoot sports anymore, so I don't need to go long like I used to. Back when I used to go to motor races, I had a Soligor 300mm with a 2x teleconverter, but those got stolen long ago, and I never did replace them. As far as the tilting horizon, well, mine seem to tilt no matter what. OTOH, since longer lenses are often on a tripod, the chances of tilting are likely less. As to whether a longer lens would be useful for you, well, I guess it depends what kind of photography you do. Wildlife, sports, looking through neighbours windows? <vbg> cheers, frank ===== "Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst" ******** "Of course it's all luck" -- Henri Cartier-Bresson ______________________________________________________________________ Post your free ad now! http://personals.yahoo.ca
