I guess the current manufacturing strategy is indeed only to make things when enough orders pile up to warrant a production run. If you want something other than an FAJ lens, it could be a long wait.
Who would have ordered 20 FA 50 f1.4s? Or why would he want to stock that many?

Just my experience of late. I believe they are under a large financial cosh.
And are basically on subsistence.

Anyway. my order of 20 FA50mm F1.4 lenses will be made at the end of this month, which pleases me immensely!
I'll see if I can get a price on your DA 14mm. Bear in mind that the warranty will technically only be with Pentax Japan.
