Hi Don I have the former Pentax SFX and agree fully with your impressions. Beside the noise of the shutter and film winding and the aperture not being visible in the viewfinder, I enjoy the SFX. With a zoom lens, a monopod and Pentax AF280T flash, it is indeed big and heavy :-) To travel very light or not be recognized immediately as old fashioned amateur photographer, I have a nice old Olympus XA compact camera with 35mm lens and A11 flash in a pocket. The Olympus is small and very quiet for certain moments :-) greetings Markus
