Let's see, your town's maybe 60% male, that's about 1200 males.
Of those, 50% are of drinking age, perhaps 45% actually DO drink--that's about 540 drinkers.
Add another 250 drinking females (might be low on that number ;) for maybe 790 total.
Average of 15% of those who, at any given time care to be using the pub correctly, that's about 118, give or take.
Divided by 6 = a shade over 19 drinkers/pub on any given night.
Double that for the week-ends...
They'll easily accommodate that, what! (Well, I had to know if you had enough!) <g>
Sounds like a nice town!

LOL! Keith, we have a full-time Doctor and an 18 bed hospital. The population of our town is just under 2000.
There are other towns around 150-200kms away, and also a major town (130,000 population) about 300kms away, it is called Mackay, but the only place to find shops such as those Markus suggested would be Brisbane, or maybe even Sydney. Brisbane is a 12-13 hour drive from here.
Ask Bob Rapp - he knows the area well!

745 miles away from other civilization? Why? I've heard of "getting away from it all" but geez! You have a local doctor, or hospital? Give me a vector from or to a named city, please! Might be able to zero in on where it is!

LOL! Markus, you don't know where I live do you?! We have precisely 8
shops
in my town - a supermarket, a post office, a butchers, a newsagents, a chemist, a video/dvd hire shop, a shoe shop and a florist. We also have 3 cafe/coffee shops and 6 Pubs!
The nearest "city" that would have any of the type of stores that you mention, is about 1200kms away!
