Maybe they'll come out just for me at noon if I ask nicely.;-)    And
yes, they do fire directly at the building with blank charges.  Of
course, there are buildings on all sides so they have to aim it at
something.  The building in the pic is the barracks, so maybe they're
less likely to shoot their own rooms.  VMI would make them sleep on the
ground until it was fixed.

Do they fire the cannon AT the building?  It looks like it's pointed
