The socket is located in the base at the rear, close to the hole for the
tripod.
It could be custom made, but very well done.
The socket is not a mini jack, but a kind of flash connector, the cable of
the databack fits in it, but I cannot think of that being a logical
connection!
The socket does not have a nut on the outside as would be the case with a
"home made" connection.
I will try to mail a picture. And I will check the internal connection.
