somehow I suspected as much - because all the shots taken with my
50/1.4-A stand out from the ones I took with my (different focal length)
K-series primes in precisely that aspect - color punch, not sharpness.
It is very sharp, but thats not the first thing you notice - in fact, I
often found that the pics looked undistinguishable from ones taken with
my (long since sold) AF 50mm! Thats why I wanted to try out a K-series
lens of the same focal length. Also all my other lenses are now
K-series, and the single remaining "A" lens looks like a (teeny)
intruder :-)))
>From your description it looks like I'm gonna have a problem parting
with the A though.. perhaps I will keep the two. Besides, I got this
smashing collection of neat accessories for the 'A' lens.. beautiful
silver-rimmed uv filters.. gorgeous spotless metal hood in lovely pentax
leather case... case for the lens... hmmmm....
