Doug,

I'm reading this thread a bit late but I can't say I really agree with
all the bashing...
Than again I never had any other 85mm lens to compare it to, but I'm
really satisfied with my 85/2. I recently used it for a portrait
workshop and I even got to make a 50x70 (20x28") enlargement of one of
the shots. It may not be very sharp but it surely fits the bill as a
nice and easy to use portrait lens.
