On the subject of the LX, I don't find mine particularly noisy, compared to my MX. They sound about the same. Now when I use the winder MX... well, suffice to say, that's a different story! <g>

Maybe I have a quieter sample of the LX, I don't know. But, none of my SLR's are nearly as quiet as my Leica. And that's just a CL, "real" Leicas seem quieter yet.

About LX noise, tonight I go for some stage shots (music) and, in this case, I do have to bring along a Leica as when the music is "low", the LX sound is disturbing. But for street photography, it's not worse than most.
