I was walking by your (now) ~least~ favourite camera store (their discount outlet around the corner on Queen St., downtown), and they've got F4 bodies going for around $1000 Cdn. They looked minty. That's cheaper than F3's, for some reason.
The F4 is a Pretty Damned Good body, especially for that price. If I had Nikon lenses...

Funny you say that. I was just at my favourite camera store and the owner was
telling me about a customer who brought in two mint F3s motor drives a slew
of excellent lenses etc. Stuff that cost about $10,000. Lucky to get $2,000 for
it. The sad thing is, this stuff still takes just as good pictures as it did
when it was worth $10,000. It's a great time to pick up real bargains,
especially old Nikons and Canon... but even Pentax especially K and M lenses...
