the TCs have definately taken a toll. My 1000mm
tak shot was way sharper...

One of my few attempts at shooting the moon - using a 500mm Takumar, 2x
converter and 1.4x converter for a total of 1400mm.  The converters
took  abite out of the sharpness, but the moon filled the frame fairly well.
