Hi, Boris,

Just to be more specific, "RV" stand for Recreation Vehicle, more or less a self
contained, motorized camping trailer.  Usually driven by retired folks, who've
sold the family home, and are spending their "golden years", travelling (well, I
was being funny, but lots of folks do that).

In North America at least, among the first RV companies was Winnebago, so for
some time a Winnebago was a generic term for RV, much like Kleenex is a generic
term for facial tissue.
