Hi Amita.
What i meant with that statment was i mostly shot horse shows hand held but have found
that
a monopod helps quite a bit.Especially on windy days.
The only one i had up until last week was a Slik Jr which is for small video cameras.I
used it with the
D1 to see how much better it would be.The D1 is way over weight spec on the head but it
proved to
me none the less i needed a better one,so i bought a Manfrotto 681 and a 486RC ball
head.
The updated pictures on my site were all taken using the 'pod.
If your camera gear is lighter than the D1 with 80-200 f2.8 you can go with the next
model
down,but for a difference of $5.00 Can i went for the max.<g>
