Always take the lower value when given resolution numbers. 6:1 toc
represents a value closer to the real world of photography. 1000:1 toc
represents a knife edged black and white subject, which closely
resembles resolution charts.
I believe Kodak Technical Pan film will resolve something like 150lppm
(this is the highest resolution film available to the public), but in
real life, it is impossible to get anywhere close to that.
