Hello to all,

In these days where some of us are really wondering about buying an *ist-D
or not, the question of hi-resolution scanning of negatives or slides come
up to the surface again. I've read in the press some enthusiastic reports
about the new scan elite 5400 : on the paper, it's a 5400dpi scanner, with a
D-Max of 4.3., able to scan 6 film views or 4 slides, with manual focus and
a lot of additional features. The price could be less than 1000 Euro. This
could be equivalent (or even better) characteristics than the Nikon CoolScan
4000 Ice which is a reference, but twice the price.

Did one of you, Pentax fellows, have tested this scanner ? I would hear any
comment with a lot of attention as I seriously envisage to buy one, as soon
as it becomes available here in Paris...
