Call it an accident and don't cry over spilled milk? (sorry couldn't resist) Seriously, sorry about the damage to your new book. If you paid a lot for it, I feel bad for you. But, what can you do? Yell, scream, throw things? The only thing you can do is try to slavage the book or toss it and get another one (yes, i understand that it's not easy, but she's your wife. short of divorce there's not much else you can do).
