I say it again, what do you do?
I installed my "office" in the basement. I have an electronic code lock on the door, and replaced the window glass with a bullet proof version. The door has a spring and closes automatically. No way to forget it open.
There's the place where I can keep all my things without anyone putting "order" in them or throwing away "junk". I also can start all kind of projects that need all my attention (like disassembling a camera), without anyone running the vacuum cleaner between my feets during the operation.
Of course, I've got lots of complaints, like "you're hiding things from me" and the like. "Go outside and watch me through the window". Works great, especially during canadian winter.
