If you were actually concerned with image quality, you wouldn't want to make any adjustments inside the camera. You'd want raw image output so that you could make the adjustments yourself.

I am more concerned with the image quality. So far picture samples from Pentax digital compacts aren't as "attractive" as other brands. Do they purposely lower the contrast & colour to retain the Pentax "taste"?
