NPC is the higher-saturation version of NPS, much like Portra VC is to
Portra NC. It's new, has the same fourth layer that NPS and Reala have
(for balancing fluorescents and yummier skintones), and the same grain
as NPS. Excellent skin tone, relaxed contrast, but really zippy colour.
NPS is still available and will remain available. I suspect a
higher-saturation version of NPH 400 is also in the works.
BTW, for those who were curious, the real scoop with the new Fuji Neopan
Acros b&w film is that it can apparently be exposed for a really really
really long time before reciprocity sets in. Sounds like I need to go
shoot some nightscapes to see how true that is.
