BS! Everyone who can ~afford~ IS has it. NIKON! people are not ~normal~ if 
they don't. We do know the few lenses NIKON has with "image stabilization" 
cost more than most people in France make in a year, which is why they can't 
even dream of owning an "IS" system.

You've never used IS or you'd know they come into their own with slow film 
and [f/8] and smaller apertures. It is the task of IS/VR and the like systems 
to allow more handheld shooting opportunities or where camera shake might 
enter into a shot.
