Pl,

They are often less than free, if the photographer agrees to
market them. The better known the photoghrapher, the higher
the fee. Lesser known photographers don't get the deal at
all, because they can't market the gear to a wide enough
audience.

For examples, look no further than David Bailey, who still
endorses Olympus cameras nearly 30 years after he first
marketed the OM-1. Asked by the UK's "Professional
Phoptographer" magazine to what extent he has used Olympus
cameras for his professional work and the answer was about
Zero. Nikon and Canon do the same; has anyone ever heard
"Moose" Peterson say a bad word about Nikon? Moose has
given high praise to Nikon products that are widely regarded
as less than stellar ...

At least Moose *does* use Nikon in his day job, I suppose.

Maybe all this doesn't affect Pentax as they don't currently
make any 35mm "pro" cameras. (grins and ducks!)
