My belief is that if Pentax want to make a high-end DSLR at some stage not too far in 
the future, they may want to make a film sibling to make revenues of the developing

Not surprising. The F5 is old. It has been canibalized bt the F100 and lately by the 
switch to digital among photo journalists. I believe the EOS 1V never has sold well. 
It sales is also cannibalized by the cheaper EOS 3, essentially the same camera. It 
was also released after the pro market it is targeted agains had switched to digital. 
I don't believe that a possible Pentax flagship film camera will be targeted to same 
population as the top Nikon and Canon bodies, but more towards the film connoisseurs.
