Speaking as one who's written photo-industry press releases, read thousands
of them, and known a number of people who write them, I'm pretty sure that
"reading between the lines" of press releases is a fairly poor way to get
information. They're generally written by PR professionals who sometimes
have no particular knowledge of cameras and who may be at several removes
from the sources of the information. I've read some real "howlers" is press
releases, both in terms of language and in terms of content.
