I agree with emotion of everything you say even if my knowledge of the facts
is incomplete. And perhaps this is not the forum.

>It didn't happen exactly that way, but would you have preferred that
America
>have stayed out of the war?

No I greatly appreciate the real American contribution to WWII - did I say
otherwise? just objecting (like you) to the way the stories are re-told.

I was reacting to a NASA claim to Ziess's multi coating technology. My
comments were actually intended to be slightly more tongue in cheek than you
actually took them. I also wasnt trying to find or quote an "ethical outrage
against humanity".

So if anyone else wants to jump down my throat - sorry in advance - I
suppose I did start it.

Regards

Peter

It didn't happen exactly that way, but would you have preferred that America
have stayed out of the war?

<<The machine was in fact captured and cracked by the Brits before the
Americans even entered WWII.>>

Well known fact deeply appreciated at least by we Americans, if no one else.

<<Only American forces took part in the D Day landings didnt they? (Saving
Private Ryan).>>

But...but England has had ~years~ to write her own version of the war and
her
heroism. But here, you fault the United States for blowing her own horn?
"Private Ryan" was fiction, but closely follows the repeated story of many
American families who lost two-three-four siblings in the war.

<<The rest of the world is getting used to Americans rewriting history.>>

<<Anyone seen "Braveheart" (Mel again)- an interesting adventure movie but
little
 foundation in historical truth. >>
But..., but his character did exist and his story, his heroism, his faith is
well known. So Mel overdoes it? It's a movie man.

Want to know a ~real~ lie, a moral and ethical outrage against humanity and
God?
When Europeans and Americans in the new world tell the story of how the
world
was built exclusively by whites, with no consideration at all for the 400+
years of free and underpaid labors of more than 40 million Africans in the
Americas, most of them, until their forced conversion, Muslims? We're still
waiting for America and Americans to tell the true story about that series
of
prevarications
Then there is the European exploitation of the Native American, the
exploitation of peoples in the Near and Far east, especially in India, the
way England and the West, including America, forced Opium on the Chinese...
Those lies too must be straightened out so...
get in line.
